About The Position

Kiewit Power Engineering is hiring Senior Mechanical Engineers to perform detailed design of balance-of-plant systems and piping for large utility-scale power plants. The role supports greenfield and brownfield power plant projects across North America, from conceptual design through detailed design, within an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) delivery model. Engineers perform complex design and analysis, develop plant-system diagrams and equipment specifications, prepare design and construction documentation, and may lead design projects or portions of projects. The position also includes coordination with multidisciplinary teams, mentoring junior engineers, and balancing multiple engineering tasks. The position may be based in Lenexa, Kansas; Houston, Texas; Raleigh, North Carolina; or Phoenix/Tempe, Arizona. For Chattanooga, Tennessee; Detroit, Michigan; or Richmond, Virginia, the role will begin remotely and transition to a hybrid or in-office arrangement when the new office is established. Travel within the United States may be required. Work is normally performed during regular operating hours, with overtime and weekends as required, and may take place at various locations and under varying conditions.
