About The Position

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing and developing our next generation of physical products that combine mechanical engineering, electronics integration, and high-quality manufacturing. You’ll own the mechanical design process end to end collaborating closely with Electrical Engineers, Firmware Developers, Product and Supply Chain teams to ensure our devices are robust, elegant, and manufacturable at scale. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives on transforming complex requirements into reliable, beautifully engineered products. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and product development
  • Proven experience with plastic injection molding and high-volume manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of mechanical integration with electronics and PCBs
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks or similar) and familiarity with PLM workflows
  • Experience managing DFM feedback and working directly with manufacturers
  • Experience in certification and compliance processes for medical or electronic devices, including familiarity with standards such as: IP ratings (e.g., IP54, IP65, IP67) for ingress protection IEC 60601 (medical electrical equipment safety) ISO 13485 (medical device quality management systems) UL/CSA certification processes RoHS and REACH environmental compliance
  • Hands-on prototyping and testing skills
  • Knowledge of tolerance analysis, material selection, and environmental considerations
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across disciplines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consumer electronics, IoT devices, or healthcare hardware is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead the mechanical design and development for products integrating electronics, sensors, and PCBs
  • Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for tooling, assembly, and manufacturing
  • Design with plastic injection molding, sheet metal, and machined components in mind (DFM/DFA/DFT)
  • Collaborate with electrical and industrial designers to optimize product integration and performance
  • Prototype, test, and iterate mechanical designs to meet functional, thermal, and safety and reliability requirements
  • Work closely with supply chain team, suppliers and manufacturers to ensure high-quality, scalable production
  • Support product certification, reliability, and compliance testing
  • Own mechanical documentation, BOMs, and materials specifications
  • Drive design reviews and mentor other engineers in best practices
  • Balance speed and quality, knowing when to iterate quickly and when to invest for the long term
