About The Position

RCT Systems, Power Systems Division, is seeking Senior Mechanical Engineers specializing in 3D electronics packaging, thermal system design, and hardware build and test. The role involves packaging and testing complex power converters, energy storage systems, and PLC systems, designing thermal management systems, and performing structural analysis under harsh environmental conditions. Candidates will utilize FEA, CFD, and hand calculations, create and review drawings, source vendors, prepare technical presentations, mentor junior engineers, and lead cross-functional teams. Immediate projects include MW scale power converters for Naval ship applications, requiring thermal design of coldplates and heat exchangers, and structural, thermal, shock, and vibration analysis for naval shipboard and undersea submersible components.

Requirements

  • United States Citizenship, or pre-authorized government-issued clearance to work with sensitive U.S. government information, is required due to US Government ITAR program restrictions.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
  • BS in mechanical engineering is required; graduate work is acceptable in lieu of some work experience
