About The Position

Aggreko is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide hands-on technical support, perform calculations, and prepare drawings and project design packs for power generation projects with Gas. The role involves supporting commercial proposals, installation, and commissioning, and ensuring projects meet client scopes of work. Aggreko provides power, heating, cooling, and air solutions for various applications, from events to long-term industrial operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualifications.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Knowledge in mechanical design standards such as ASME, ISO, ASTM and ANSI symbols.
Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD with 3D experience.
Effective planning, organizational, and time management skills.
Analytical thinker.
Excellent keyboard skills, computer literate and experienced in spreadsheet packages.
Capable of working on own initiative.

Nice To Haves

Master's or PhD preferred.
Gas equipment certification highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Calculations and design of fuel delivery systems for power generation (Natural Gas, CNG, LNG, and diesel engines).
Support commercial proposals and installation and commissioning.
Prepare professional drawings, including 3D images, construction drawings, diagrams, schematics, Piping and Instrument Drawings (PID), and site layouts.
Prepare drawings and project design packs (PDP) for power generation projects to meet clients’ Scope of Work (SOW).
Produce construction documents such as piping size and regulation systems for job-specific requirements.
Produce drawings for construction, including PID, Site Layout drawings (SLO), Flow Diagrams, and Flow Calculations.
Support reliability and availability studies for power generation applications.
