About The Position

As a Senior Engineer in the Pipe Supports and Mechanical Modules area, you will have the opportunity to work with a multi-discipline team of engineers in the design, analysis, and evaluation of pipe supports and mechanical modules using engineering software, including support to lead engineers. Apply engineering principles and engineering codes & standards, such as ASME and ANSI, to the design, analysis, and evaluation of pipe supports and mechanical modules. Resolve technical issues for operating nuclear power plants, new plants (e.g., AP1000, eVinci), and other nuclear projects (e.g., fuel fabrication facilities). You will report to the Manager, Pipe Supports and Mechanical Modules and be located at Rock Hill, SC or Cranberry Woods, PA. This role will be Hybrid.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical (preferred) or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering experience

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering in Training (EIT) license or Professional Engineer license
  • Power industry (e.g., nuclear power plant) experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop calculations and reports to document design and analysis results in accordance with ASME Section III code requirements and other international codes.
  • Interface with engineers in other disciplines such as electrical and civil/structural.
  • Communicate with internal groups, customers, and vendors to obtain necessary information to complete work assignments.
  • Solve routine technical problems.
  • Participate on project teams with internal and/or external representation.
  • Participate in customer and vendor meetings to present technical materials and justification of services and product designs.
  • Perform work within established scope, budgetary and schedule requirements.
  • Resolve Corrective Action issues and support process improvement efforts within department and company.
  • Identify and help develop new business opportunities.
