About The Position

The Senior Mechanical Engineer works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, leading the mechanical design process and performing detailed analyses of mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging.

Requirements

• BSME or equivalent work experience or combination of education and experience required
• 3-5 years of engineering or related work experience required
• Solidworks, AutoCAD, Inventor, ProE or other design package experience required (Solidworks preferred)
• Microsoft Office Suite, Exceptional Excel skills mandatory
• Advanced knowledge of design process, ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of engineering concepts, theories, practices, and procedures
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers
• Ability to exercise discretion and good independent judgment in all duties and responsibilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods and occasionally walk, bend, and lift up to 25lbs.

Responsibilities

• Document designs with drawings, specifications, and bill of materials list
• Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment, and packaging
• Input drawings and design packages into PLM system and release via ECO process
• Conduct design reviews and post-mortem analysis of designs
• Generate manufacturing assembly procedures and drawings
• Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs
• Ensure work is performed in accordance with approved practices of the company
• Manage projects with minimal guidance
• May direct the work of others withing the department
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Other duties as assigned
