About The Position

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and execution of complex mechanical systems for a variety of projects. This role requires a seasoned engineer who can combine technical knowledge with leadership, mentoring, and client-facing skills to deliver high-quality solutions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field); PE license in Minnesota preferred.
8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally in a mechanical contracting environment.
Strong expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and/or fire protection system design.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other engineering software.
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high quality standards.

Responsibilities

Lead the design of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
Prepare and review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy, constructability, and compliance with codes and standards.
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineering disciplines to develop integrated solutions.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, drafters, and project teams.
Participate in client meetings, site visits, and project reviews to ensure design intent is achieved.
Support proposal development and project planning with technical input.
Review submittments, RFI responses, and contractor deliverables to ensure alignment with design specifications.
