This role is for a Performance Engineer who will assist in the design, troubleshooting, and operation of boiler systems, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with regulations. The position involves conducting engineering studies, performing performance evaluations, developing strategies for boiler asset management, and focusing on efficiency improvements, energy conservation, and adherence to safety standards.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Extensive experience in boiler engineering, including design, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven ability to work in project teams.
  • Strong understanding of boiler systems, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and related engineering principles.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to boiler performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, NFPA, BLRBAC).

Nice To Haves

  • Professional Engineer license not required, but is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Possess strong technical knowledge of boiler systems, including their design, operation, maintenance, and repair, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, NFPA, BLRBAC).
  • Implement strategies to optimize boiler performance, minimize downtime, and reduce energy consumption.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant safety regulations and standards, including conducting risk assessments and promoting safe work practices.
  • Interface with engineering subvendors and contractors, ensuring quality service and compliance with project requirements.
  • Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including senior management, plant teams, and external parties.
