About The Position

America At Work is recruiting on behalf of an established engineering consulting firm with more than 100 years of experience delivering engineering, EPC, and project management solutions for clients across the refining, petrochemical, energy, power generation, life sciences, mining, and food & beverage industries. We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in process piping, fixed equipment, refinery mechanical systems, and industrial facilities to join a highly respected engineering team. Requirements

  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience
  • Refinery, petrochemical, oil & gas, chemical processing, or heavy industrial experience
  • Experience leading engineering deliverables on capital projects
  • Strong understanding of mechanical equipment and process piping systems

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical engineering activities on refinery and industrial projects
  • Design and review process piping systems (ASME B31.1 & B31.3)
  • Prepare engineering calculations and code compliance documentation
  • Develop equipment specifications and data sheets
  • Review pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, and rotating equipment
  • Lead mechanical design reviews and quality assurance activities
  • Coordinate with piping, structural, electrical, civil, and process engineering teams
  • Support procurement by preparing bid packages and evaluating vendor proposals
  • Participate in field walkdowns, construction support, and startup activities
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership
  • Interface directly with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
