About The Position

Wood is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - Bioproducts / Pulp & Paper Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join their Canada Projects business. This role is Hybrid and based in Vancouver, BC, reporting to the Manager of Mechanical Engineering. The SME will provide technical advisory support for engineering studies, design reviews, operational assessments, and project evaluations related to bioproducts and pulp & paper facilities. The position requires extensive experience in process equipment, mechanical systems, plant operations, reliability, and industry best practices. The successful candidate will act as a technical advisor, reviewing engineering analyses, validating assumptions, and offering expert guidance for project execution, operational excellence, and sound engineering decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical advisory support for engineering studies, design reviews, operational assessments, and project evaluations associated with bioproducts and pulp & paper facilities.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor, reviewing engineering analyses, validating assumptions, and providing expert guidance to support project execution, operational excellence, and sound engineering decision-making.
