About The Position

This role is responsible for mechanical engineering focused on the packaging of electrical and electronic products, including the development of energy-efficient, lightweight, and cost-effective components alongside optimized placement within various electrical systems. It requires a combination of experience in mechanical design, analysis, and testing for electronic systems, including electronic packaging, printed wiring boards (PWBs), circuit card assemblies (CCAs), and mechanical enclosures. Designs are developed and finalized through formal design reviews and the release of associated engineering drawings. The work supports both commercial and military applications.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
  • Strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and their application to design and analysis activities.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in mechanical design or analysis of electronic systems, including electronic packaging, Printed Wiring Boards (PWBs), Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs), and/or mechanical enclosures.
  • Ability to read wiring schematics.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience modeling and/or interpreting designs in NX/Unigraphics.
