This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin’s Blue Moon landers and related products. To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to support NASA’s Artemis program by leading the design and development of lunar pump hardware used in water, coolant, and propellant systems. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing, manufacturing, and testing cryogenic and electrically driven pumps for space applications. In this role, you will own the mechanical design of high-performance, cryogenic pumps and work with our hydrodynamic, thermal, and structural experts to make sure the pumps meet customer needs.
