About The Position

SEAKR Engineering is seeking a mechanical engineer with knowledge of electronics packaging design, thermal analysis, and dynamics experience to assist in designing aerospace electronics systems. The candidate will be responsible for leading the mechanical design of flight electronics systems, including the mechanical design of the flight chassis and CCAs. This role requires experience with printed circuit board design, high reliability thermal management, and electronics manufacturing techniques. The ability to mentor junior engineers and coordinate with other disciplines such as PCB design, Electrical Engineering, and manufacturing is also essential. The engineer will be responsible for defending designs at internal and external design reviews.

Requirements

Knowledge of electronics packaging design.
Knowledge of thermal analysis.
Dynamics experience.
Experience with printed circuit board design.
High reliability thermal management experience.
Electronics manufacturing techniques experience.
Demonstrated electronics packaging design experience for high reliability systems.
Working knowledge of thermal management techniques for aerospace.
Clear written and verbal communication skills.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 8 years of experience.

Experience with Solidworks.

Responsibilities

Leading the mechanical design of flight electronics systems, including the mechanical design of the flight chassis and CCAs.
