About The Position

Interface Engineering Inc. is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (MEP) in Sacramento, California. The position follows a hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office; relocation will be considered. The engineer will serve as a discipline lead on multiple projects, taking ownership of HVAC system selection, engineering, and design. The role includes preparing HVAC drawings, analyses, specifications, and calculations; overseeing HVAC support staff; and providing construction administration and site observations. The engineer will work with clients and colleagues and provide exemplary service to both.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of MEP/AEC design and consulting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems in public safety, educational, and commercial sectors.
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards.
• Demonstrated experience interacting with clients in meetings or presentations.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineering license.
• LEED accreditation.
• Working knowledge of IES-VE.

Responsibilities
