About The Position

Auto-Valve is the world leader for aerospace and defense valves, with over 1,400 active valve designs in production and rapidly growing revenue. We are seeking an experienced design engineer for a newly created position. A minimum of 7 years of design engineering background would be ideal. The ideal candidate aspires to advance into an engineering Director position within 1-3 years. The position is on-site, with our offices located Northwest of Dayton Ohio. Auto-Valve provides a flexible work schedule for an improved work-life balance.

Pass a Drug Screen and Background Check prior to employment

Nice To Haves

Design Experience with mechanical valves is an advantage.
Background in fuel valves, hydraulics, Aerospace and Mil-Spec products, project management, Design for Manufacturability, managing multiple projects, and/or fuel system knowledge an advantage.
Experience with electro-mechanical design a plus.

Responsibilities

Design and Development of aircraft system valves.
Conceptualizing, designing, developing, testing, and supporting new valve designs to meet customer requirements.
Hands-on prototype building and testing, performance testing, and environmental/qualification testing.
Support of existing (legacy) valves including re-design, manufacturability, and quality support.
