Senior Mechanical Engineer (Automation)

Trystar Inc•Cypress, TX
•$130,000 - $155,000

About The Position

The Senior Mechanical Automation Engineer II is an Advanced (E4) individual-contributor role on Trystar’s Engineering career path. The engineer leads complex mechanical engineering automation, configuration-platform, and product-platforming initiatives, owning complete solutions and major technical workstreams from architecture through deployment and sustained operation. The role applies advanced mechanical engineering, CAD automation, configuration management, workflow design, and systems-integration expertise to create scalable, reusable capabilities across product families. The engineer establishes automation architectures, development standards, validation methods, and lifecycle practices; leads resolution of complex technical issues; and influences product structures and engineering workflows so automation can scale. The role plans and leads large projects with significant autonomy, managing scope, cost, resources, risk, priorities, and stakeholders. As a recognized technical leader, the engineer mentors others, leads technical reviews, and champions automation standards and best practices. Trystar’s engineering individual-contributor career path continues through Staff Engineer (E5), Principal Engineer (E6), and Engineering Fellow (E7). Employees and their managers use Trystar’s Technical Competency Assessment to evaluate Knowledge, Interpersonal Skills, Leadership, and Innovation competencies and agree on an individual development plan.
