About The Position

As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. This role involves maintaining an in-depth knowledge of various meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations, while processing meat according to specifications (e.g., cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping). You will ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management, and operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment. Additionally, you will leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, using hand-held technology for immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality. You will also be responsible for driving business results, ensuring operational excellence, planning for profitability, maintaining a work area according to company policies, ensuring quality and standards for high-volume meat products, eliminating waste, securing merchandise, assisting members with purchasing decisions, and ensuring merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored. As a Talent Ambassador, you will advocate for the department and club, model high-quality service and products, interact with associates to understand roadblocks, and assist in training them. You will also comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity, completing work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources, and collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners. This includes identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, communicating progress, and determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities, while adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback.

Requirements

  • 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if the position is received.
