About The Position

As a Senior Meat Cutter at Sam's Club, you will be responsible for driving sales and ensuring member satisfaction by providing high-quality meat products. This role involves collaborating with other associates, maintaining in-depth knowledge of various meat products, and adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. You will process meat according to specifications, operate and sanitize equipment, and manage inventory. The position also requires leveraging digital tools to enhance the shopping experience and make business decisions. You will be expected to ensure operational excellence, maintain a clean work environment, assist members with purchasing, and properly package and store merchandise. Additionally, you will act as an advocate for the department, model high-quality service, and assist in training other associates. The role emphasizes compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity, fostering a culture of belonging, and continuously striving for excellence while prioritizing the customer.

Requirements

  • 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department
  • Successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less

  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management
  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement
  • Utilize hand-held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind
