About The Position

As a Senior Meat Cutter, you will drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations. This role involves being an expert in meat products, leveraging digital tools, driving business results, acting as a talent ambassador, respecting individuals, acting with integrity, serving customers, and striving for excellence.

Requirements

  • 6 months’ experience working in a fresh production department.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales in your area to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less.
  • Work collaboratively with other associates to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources.
  • Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service.
  • Be flexible to the needs of the business, tracking goods, maintaining instock levels, and controlling shrinkage.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of different meat products, equipment usage, and backroom operations.
  • Provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (e.g., cutting, slicing, grinding, and wrapping meat products).
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management.
  • Operate, maintain, and sanitize equipment.
  • Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement.
  • Utilize hand-held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind.
  • Adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Drive business results, ensuring commitment to operational excellence and planning for profitability.
  • Maintain a work area according to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure quality and standards for high volume meat products.
  • Eliminate waste and secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.
  • Be an advocate for the department and the club by valuing the members' experience in the meat area and modeling high-quality service and products.
  • Execute the basics at the highest possible level of quality.
  • Interact with associates to understand roadblocks and assist in training them to perform job-related duties as assigned.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans.
  • Use the Open Door Policy and apply it in executing business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
