About The Position

As a Senior Material Support team member, you'll serve as the facility's inventory control expert, ensuring material accuracy, transaction integrity, and warehouse discipline across operations. This role goes beyond traditional warehouse support by leading cycle count activities, resolving inventory discrepancies, improving inventory processes, and partnering cross-functionally to maintain uninterrupted material flow for production and customer fulfillment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, cycle counting, or material support.
  • Experience leading or participating in formal cycle count programs.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience performing inventory reconciliations and discrepancy investigations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to accurately manage detailed inventory transactions and documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or industrial environment.
  • Exposure to shipping, receiving, freight processing, or international logistics documentation.
  • Knowledge of inventory auditing practices and warehouse process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute daily, weekly, monthly, and annual cycle count programs.
  • Perform cycle counts, recounts, physical inventories, and warehouse location audits.
  • Investigate count variances and identify root causes of inventory discrepancies.
  • Reconcile inventory differences between physical counts and ERP/SAP records.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy for raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), finished goods, and warehouse stock locations.
  • Review inventory transactions, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Process and verify inventory transactions within SAP or ERP systems, including: Receipts, Issues, Transfers, Returns, Inventory adjustments.
  • Ensure inventory movements are accurately recorded and properly documented.
  • Support order closure activities and maintain transaction compliance.
  • Generate reports and analyze inventory data to support decision-making and inventory improvements.
  • Maintain warehouse location accuracy, organization, labeling, and material control standards.
  • Assist with receiving activities, unloading shipments, and verifying inbound materials.
  • Support shipping operations through transaction processing and shipping documentation.
  • Help prioritize outbound shipment requirements to support customer commitments.
  • Troubleshoot material flow issues affecting production, warehouse operations, or shipment schedules.
  • Partner with Production, Planning, Operations, Shipping, Receiving, and Customer Service teams to resolve inventory and logistics issues.
  • Support internal and external audits through organized inventory records and variance documentation.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and other company locations when resolving inventory or transportation concerns.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and process compliance.
