The Material Planner will be responsible for all materials planning for assigned products and/or manufacturing cells to meet the guidelines established by the Master Schedule. Manage inventories and ensure the material resources are consistent with production schedules. This role involves working on complex developmental and transition-to-production programs with a strong understanding of multi-site MRP systems and their relationship with various business facets. The planner will analyze and manage purchase orders, inventory transfers, and identify risks and opportunities related to material availability. Collaboration with coworkers, adherence to team deadlines, and respectful communication are essential. The position also requires understanding multi-level BOMs, the impact of ECOs on material requirements, and supporting the disposition of suspect and non-conforming material. Awareness of applicable regulations such as RoHs, Reach, FAA, FDA, FAR/DFAR, and ITAR is necessary. The role includes creating reports, presenting to leadership, and ensuring data integrity for material availability metrics. Participation in MRB meetings and other related duties as assigned are also part of the responsibilities.
