About The Position

Lucid Motors is seeking a Senior Material Planner to join our Supply Chain team in Arizona. This role reports directly to the Material Planning Manager. Requirements

Must have a High School Diploma/GED, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management preferred.
6 years of material planning experience and 2 years of Account Management or Supplier Management experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments.
Analytical skills to address and resolve production schedule issues.
Extensive knowledge of MRP processes, SAP, and supply chain operations including discrete manufacturing and product lifecycle management.
Effective problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of presenting clear recommendations to leadership.
Experience managing supplier relationships and operational performance.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, Excel, and Office Suite.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility, adaptability, and a results-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

Develop and communicate supply requirements to Lucid’s supply base, managing over 200 Tier 1 suppliers and 6,000+ parts using MRP systems to achieve production, inventory, and cost targets.
Serve as the main operational contact for assigned suppliers, maintaining effective relationships, and overseeing delivery status, issue resolution, and performance updates.
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) delivery performance while supporting improvement initiatives such as lead time reduction.
Work cross-functionally with departments including Purchasing, New Product Introduction, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Logistics to resolve material issues and support launches.
Proactively communicate material concerns across all organization levels, addressing shipment issues, and minimizing impacts on stakeholders.
Provide production support through clear-to-build status, material coverage analysis, run-out reports, and other insights.
Deliver data-driven recommendations and scenario analyses to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
Optimize system parameters, inventory levels, and service goals using analytical skills to control costs and minimize obsolescence, including reviewing inventory and adjusting orders for replenishment.
Support supplier performance improvement by partnering with the Global Supply Purchasing team to implement action plans and update supplier scorecards.
Lead meetings on material shortages, supplier constraints, and performance metrics; oversee resource allocation and ensure adherence to established processes, metrics, and assignments.
