About The Position

As a Material Handler, you will work individually or as part of a small team to produce insulated parts and protective material that meet the dimensional specifications in engineered drawings and the required cosmetic or appearance specifications. You may also deliver finished products to customers and record deliveries through a computer transaction. The role includes light maintenance of insulating equipment, hand tools, and conveyor equipment; maintaining a clean work area; complying with the Powell Quality System; and participating in ongoing safety training. Other duties may be requested, directed, or assigned.

Requirements

• Basic command of English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to read a tape measure and ruler, including converting fractions to decimals and decimals to fractions.
• Ability to read and understand engineered drawings (blueprints).
• Ability to work with small hand tools and grinders.
• Ability to perform light maintenance on conveyor equipment, including removing bolted components for replacement and tightening loose fasteners.

Responsibilities

• Produce insulated parts and protective material to the dimensional specifications in engineered drawings.
• Ensure completed products meet cosmetic or appearance specifications.
• Deliver finished products to customers when required and record deliveries through a computer transaction.
• Perform light maintenance on insulating equipment and hand tools.
• Perform light maintenance on conveyor equipment, including removing bolted components for replacement and tightening loose fasteners.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the work area.
• Meet all requirements of Powell's Quality System for the position.
• Participate in Powell's ongoing Safety Training.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
