About The Position

Under limited direction, this role provides technical guidance while performing supply chain management activities necessary to maintain accurate part inventories at optimum stock levels, ensuring the business can meet global demands. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of 4 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, procurement, or operational logistics across distribution networks is required. APICS certification is preferred.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related curriculum, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4 years of experience in at least one of the following areas: Demand planning, inventory management, Procurement, Operational logistics across distribution networks.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing and understanding part usage demand and developing forecasts for future replenishment.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, etcetera).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS certificate (Association for supply chain and operations management) preferred.
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience with aircraft parts and regulations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and perform supply chain management activities to maintain accurate part inventories at optimum stock levels.
  • Make recommendations for efficiency improvements in planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Apply sound judgment, experience, and specialized supply chain management knowledge to meet performance metrics.
  • Anticipate emerging trends, understand their potential impact on the business, and make recommendations for mitigating risk.
  • Analyze key performance indicators to ensure supply chain service level goals are achieved and maintained.
  • Understand the financial and logistical impact of inventory investment decisions.
  • Perform lifecycle planning on rotable and perishable inventory items.
  • Prepare recommendations for changes to supply chain tactical plans in response to changing business requirements.
  • Assist in determining whether excess inventory is subject to redistribution, sale, or disposal.
  • Engage with members of other functional areas to understand and recommend solutions for problems related to shortages, distribution, customer provisioning, service center demand, and over-the-counter sales.
  • Support change management objectives and generate stakeholder confidence.
  • Develop replenishment plans highlighting future inventory imbalances and take appropriate actions to re-balance inventory levels while minimizing logistics costs.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on workload status, inventory levels, logistics considerations, and customer fill rates.
  • Review engineering drawings, vendor part catalogs, and purchased on-assembly items to determine initial spares requirements for new and existing product lines.
  • Complete audits, identify discrepancies, and recommend and implement solutions.
  • Train team members and impart business knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate ability and breadth of knowledge beyond the area of specialization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
