Johnson & Johnson MedTech is currently recruiting for a Senior Marketing Manager, Global Strategic Marketing (GSM), Advanced Energy Capital Strategy and Innovation, to be based in Cincinnati, OH. The Senior Marketing Manager, Global Strategic Marketing, Advanced Energy Capital Strategy and Innovation will lead the execution of multiple, funded and/or pre-charter projects, through all phases of the new product development stage-gates and launch excellence including market research, building the business case, managing regional and external relationships, working with R&D and cross functional partners to lead achievement of milestones, and recommending go / no go decisions at key milestones.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required
  • A minimum of 6-8 years professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years of Marketing and / or sales experience in medical devices, or healthcare tech is required, with experience in both upstream / front-end and downstream / brand / customer-facing roles in region preferred
  • Outstanding analytics skills and ability to understand technically complex concepts
  • Ability to exercise judgement and appropriate risk taking
  • Ability to develop and manage and nurture customer relationships
  • Commercially savvy with knowledge of cross-functional processes in R&D, Quality, Supply Chain preferred

Nice To Haves

  • MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • R&D or other technical experience is preferred
  • A minimum of 2 years working with Development Partners in a product development environment is strongly preferred
  • Medical technology or devices industry knowledge background preferred
  • Knowledge of the OR environment, procedures, and clinical teams preferred
  • Experience in MedTech Capital marketing or sales is preferred
  • Strong track record in marketing in Johnson & Johnson, along with successful people management is preferred
  • Strong ability to collaborate across boundaries (e.g., with other J&J companies and regions)

Responsibilities

  • Co-lead (with R&D) a funded new product development project to execute on the pipeline strategy
  • Lead all related Strategic Marketing and Launch Excellence activities to support marketing and commercial strategies of Capital Innovation projects through all launch phases
  • Lead VoC and customer (clinical and non-clinical stakeholders) validation efforts to ensure product features and functionality meet and/or exceed customer expectations
  • Support and collaborate on key user interaction / touch points / Graphical User Interfaces across the Advanced Energy projects and ensuring relevant learnings are connected back to the continued development of the DUALTO Energy System
  • Support our Service Solutions group with the development of promotional materials for our Energy Capital offerings and the new funded project
  • Manage KOLs to build meaningful relationships to drive insights in support of individual I&A projects as well as the broader program
  • Collaborate as needed with Front End Team and associated cross functional partners (R&D, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Human Factors, Pre-clinical, Clinical, and Medical, Business Development, etc.)
  • Lead the execution of strategic research and VoC to further refine segmentation, targeting and positioning and dissemination across organizations and regions.
  • Own and drive strong connection of strategic research and VoC to communication leads across Surgery as well as the broader J&J MedTech organization including Polyphonic and Service Solutions.
  • Support and execution of marketing and commercial launch related activities across the platform
  • Staying abreast of competitive and market trends and supporting competitive scenario analysis to help the team with offensive and defensive marketing strategies
