About The Position

Rho is seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to lead its growth initiatives within the consumer brands vertical nationwide. This role involves developing and executing strategies to connect Rho with founders, operators, and finance leaders in sectors like CPG, apparel, beauty, food and beverage, and direct-to-consumer. It is a sales-partnered position with pipeline targets, a budget, and close collaboration with sales representatives. The successful candidate will build relationships, create engagement opportunities, and generate demand to drive sales closures. The role emphasizes understanding the unique characteristics of consumer brand founders, who are brand-savvy, community-oriented, and often capital-efficient, making Rho's platform particularly appealing. The primary goal is to accelerate existing traction in this vertical.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, community, partnerships, brand, or growth at a venture-backed or high-growth company.
  • B2B SaaS, fintech, or direct experience in or serving the consumer brand space.
  • High agency and ability to act independently and form a point of view.
  • Proven track record of growing a business, product line, market, or community.
  • Genuine familiarity with the consumer brand and CPG/DTC world, including business operations, financial pressures, and founder decision-making.
  • Sociable and skilled in relationship-building and event marketing.
  • Comfort with data and finance, including managing budgets and discussing business with founders.
  • A strong network in the consumer brand, CPG, DTC, or adjacent VC/operator community, or a credible plan to build one quickly.
  • Experience with pipeline accountability and understanding of sourced pipeline metrics.
  • Experience building vertical-specific marketing programs (content, events, ABM, co-marketing, partner-led growth).
  • Strong CRM hygiene, particularly with Salesforce.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Entrepreneurial and scrappy mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Own the pipeline number, including sourced pipeline, new consumer brand logos, and Salesforce attribution.
  • Build Rho's presence within the consumer brand ecosystem by identifying and cultivating relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with sales to generate demand and nurture relationships, aligning on targeting, follow-up, and account prioritization.
  • Grow the existing consumer brand customer base through in-person and digital programs.
  • Build a community that founders want to be part of by hosting events and connecting founders with each other and Rho.
  • Manage Rho's presence in the vertical through sponsorships, trade events, co-marketing, and founder content.
  • Develop vertical-specific content and messaging, including case studies, playbooks, and thought leadership.
  • Run growth experiments across various channels, such as vertical-targeted paid campaigns, ABM, lifecycle programs, and co-marketing.
  • Define and document the vertical marketing playbook, identifying and scaling successful strategies.
