About The Position

The Senior Marketing Coordinator is a service-forward generalist who serves as a front-line connector between the Marketing/Communications (MarComm) team and Sequoia team members with a focus on financial advisors and internal leaders. The Coordinator brings professional experience and judgment to the role in order to act both independently and as part of a team. This requires the ability to anticipate needs, move work forward, and communicate proactively across teams and stakeholders. The Coordinator will have responsibilities that encompass the marketing case queue intake and routing, connecting Sequoia team members to key resources, supporting strategic leads to execute on action items.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing, client services, communications, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a service-oriented role with direct client or advisor-facing responsibilities; comfortable initiating and managing conversations without being prompted.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to draft polished internal communications, event updates, and stakeholder correspondence independently.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint; comfortable working with templates and translating content across formats.
  • Proactive by nature.
  • Professional presence and ability to develop strong working relationships across departments.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in financial services, wealth management, legal, consulting, or another professional services environment.
  • Background in event (internal or external) coordination.
  • Familiarity with Asana, Salesforce, or similar project management and CRM platforms.
  • Experience in a communications, editing, or content-adjacent role; comfort with reviewing materials for clarity and completeness before they move forward.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for marketing case queue intake, triaging requests, and coordinating responses with the appropriate team members.
  • Conduct brief scoping conversations with advisors and internal clients to clarify needs, gather context, and surface existing resources before connecting to manager for assignment of work where needed.
  • Connect advisors and channel leads to existing resources in the firm’s content library and Box file system; this responsibility is shared with the Marketing Coordinator and both roles handle advisor FAQ resolution as a standard function.
  • Support advisor-facing marketing needs including singular deck requests, brand-compliant materials, and event communication coordination.
  • Support MarComm leadership in prepping executive firm leadership members on a quarterly cadence, asset gathering, meeting prep, and follow-up action item tracking.
  • Draft and prepare general MarComm assets alongside strategic leads, including communications, event materials, and supporting documents.
  • Support internal and external events through tasks such as materials prep, printing coordination, nametag coordination, asset fulfillment, and pre-meeting groundwork.
  • Draft and route communications to stakeholders including event registration updates, status emails, and internal follow-ups.
  • Support designated event and sponsorship requests with registration and invitation materials, ordering and fulfillment, and follow-up communications.
  • Manage repeatable event logistics for integrations and partner with MarComm operations team members to capture into templated workflows for scalable processes over time.
  • Apply MarComm best practice standards to assets and communications.
  • Complete template formatting work, including translating content from Word or other formats into established templates.
  • Support version control and asset library management across Box and the firm’s resource library; support ensuring materials are current, accessible, and properly organized.
  • Develop working fluency in Asana to support basic project tracking, task updates, and template use; execute repeatable workflows independently.
  • Cross-train with the Marketing Coordinator on key workflows to ensure coverage and continuity.
