About The Position

The Senior Marketing & Business Development Manager drives profitable new business growth for Paragon’s Workers’ Compensation division by developing, managing, and expanding retail broker and agency relationships across the East Coast and broader U.S. market. The role partners with underwriting and leadership teams to identify target agencies, build producer relationships, generate qualified submissions, and position Paragon’s workers’ compensation capabilities in the marketplace. The position requires a strong understanding of insurance distribution, retail agency relationships, workers’ compensation, and the process of sourcing, qualifying, submitting, and winning business. The role may be performed remotely, with a strong preference for candidates in the East or Southeast—ideally Atlanta, New Jersey, Connecticut, Nashville, or Charlotte. Candidates must be located near a major airport due to travel requirements.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized, self-directed, and accountable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively remotely.
  • Strong business judgment, initiative, and ability to take opportunities from prospecting through submission and follow-up.
  • Professional, customer-focused approach and ability to build trusted relationships with brokers, producers, underwriters, and internal stakeholders.
