About The Position

At Waters, we’re focused on advancing scientific research. Our instruments systems play a crucial role in monitoring water quality, analyzing drug formulations for quality and safety, and help analyze food samples for pesticide residues, mycotoxins, and other contaminants. At Waters, we solve problems that matter! As the Marketing Analyst, you will be part of the Revenue Operations team. You will be responsible for guiding Waters’ marketing decisions by crunching large data sets, analyzing the results, and gaining insight. We collect and analyze vast amounts of data daily to learn more and about Waters: our customers, behaviors, marketing activities, web analytics, marketing performance, advertisement effectiveness and much more. Through analyzing both internal and external data, the analyst is responsible for understanding our customers, which in turn helps guide our marketing strategy.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in the field of analytics/marketing/consulting.
  • Marketing domain expertise: Hands-on experience from tactical marketing analytics (such as marketing mix and attribution modeling, web analytics, campaign performance analysis, ROI estimates, life time value modeling) and customer focused marketing analysis (segmentations, user survey, storytelling about customers, brand positioning, etc.).
  • Strong technical competence to perform advanced analytics: Experience performing analysis with large datasets, analytics tools experience (Python, Excel, SQL)
  • Experience from 3rd party marketing tools (such as Google Analytics, Marketo, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Marketing Cloud)
  • Skilled at condensing analysis into actionable insights to inform business decisions within marketing

Nice To Haves

  • Experience of using Salesforce CRM
  • Experience with hands-on statistical modeling (such as regression modeling, a/b testing, significance testing etc.), knowledge about machine learning (such as predictive modeling, decision trees, classification models, clustering techniques).
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment building successful stakeholder partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Through storytelling, you’ll translate data into actionable insights that drive improvement in customer engagement.
  • Understand Waters’ end to end customer journey from digital marketing and web analytics to order, through internal and external data analysis; helping to define how these findings should influence global marketing efforts.
  • Establish innovative strategies to understand and solve complex marketing problems: reach valuable data driven insights, through the discovery of patterns and trends; testing and evaluating various marketing mix models; formulating and designing data pipelines to monitor key metrics for the marketing teams.
  • Coordinate activities that support delivery of marketing insights and participate hands-on in multiple projects .
  • You will work closely with the Director of Revenue Operations, and various leaders in the Waters Division; as part of a matrixed team you will be supporting Division marketing priorities, working closely with peers in Commercial Excellence.
