About The Position

Pantheon Data is actively seeking a highly motivated Senior-Level Marine Electronics Engineer with experience in Exterior Communications Systems to support the United States Coast Guard (USCG)'s Ship Design Team in Washington, DC. An ideal candidate will have prior experience developing and integrating systems involving electromagnetic energy transmission for purposes including sensor processing, remote sensing, communications, guidance and control, information processing, navigation and defense applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in System Architecture, Electronics, Electrical, Marine Engineering, or another relevant technical, engineering, or a marine discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • At least six (8) years of recent, relevant professional experience developing and integrating systems involving electromagnetic energy transmissions for sensor processing, remote sensing, communication, guidance and control, information processing, navigation, and defense applications.
  • Familiarity with USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations.
  • Proficient with common productivity software.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively remotely in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and produce quality work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in System Architecture, Electronics, Marine Engineering, or another relevant technical, engineering, or marine discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Prior experience with DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs.
  • Additional certifications, such as PMP, DHS Systems Engineering Certification, or DHS Program Management Certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of and experience with engineering principles and techniques, to develop and evaluate moderately complex technical reports related to application of C5I systems onboard USCG ships.
  • Review and evaluate the effect of new and/or modified electronics on overall system performance.
  • Review and adjudicate system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS's), Request for Waiver (RFW), Engineering Changes (EC's).
