About The Position

Join our new team of Manufacturing Supplier Quality Engineers, in Richardson, TX, solving supplied material issues impacting our factories. This high visibility and on-site position will focus on resolution of any nonconformance in supplied material ensuring root cause and corrective actions are completed. You will be a key player working with leaders in Operations, Quality, Program Management and Engineering to solve problems on our nations most advanced defense systems.

Requirements

  • Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and five (5) years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • Experience using Aerospace or commercial equivalent Preventative tools – APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, etc.
  • Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action processes.
  • Experience with hardware inspection techniques and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Proven success in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Six Sigma, Lean and / or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification (CQE, CQM/OE, CSQE, CQA, CRE, etc.).
  • Experience in DoD product and process oversight including requirements, build, integration, test and delivery.
  • High computer proficiency, including skills working with SAP/ PRISM and Microsoft Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

  • Utilize analytical capabilities and communications skills to lead rapid resolution of supplier caused issues impacting the factory, working with other quality functions and cross-functional teams.
  • Represent supplier quality as the onsite interface to Raytheon factories supporting factory tier, corrective action board, FRACAS (Failure Review And Corrective Action System), and cost of poor-quality meetings.
  • Analyze supplied material non-conformance data and develop action plans to address top and systemic drivers.
  • Investigate issues with supplied material ensuring robust root-cause analysis and corrective solutions are fully implemented.
  • Identify and support continuous product / process improvements using statistical / analytical tools such as APQP and lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Drive continuous improvement and leverage lessons learned from supplied material non-conformances to reduce future risk across the supply chain.
