About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to support the Manufacturing Operations Support and Logistics (MOS&L) team onsite in Everett, Washington. Occasional travel to Renton, Washington is required. A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety. This role will lead a team of managers based in Everett, Washington.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an aerospace, fabrication or manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and/or informal role
  • 5+ years of experience leading project teams to meet project objectives and deliverables
  • Willing and able to travel domestically

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in an Engineering, Aviation, Aviation Safety, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience using Boeing Production System (BPS)
  • 3+ years of experience teaching, coaching and developing others
  • 3+ years of experience working cross-functionally in a leadership role
  • 3+ years of experience in aircraft hazardous energy safety

Responsibilities

  • People Leadership in a High-Tempo Environment: Leads, develops, and motivates employees and first-level managers. Inspires a shared sense of urgency and ownership to meet aggressive production schedules in a dynamic, rate-driven environment.
  • Operational Management of Complex Operations: Coordinates daily priorities, removes roadblocks, and ensures disciplined execution across shifts and work centers.
  • Strategic Departmental Planning: Develops and executes integrated assembly departmental plans, policies, and procedures. Provides input on business and technical strategies that drive safety, compliance, quality, delivery, and cost performance. Aligns assembly strategies to rate readiness and program objectives.
  • Resource Allocation & Continuous Improvement: Acquires and allocates resources (people, machines, tooling, and capital) to support current production and future growth. Leads lean process improvements to optimize part flow, reduce cycle time, and eliminate waste while maintaining regulatory compliance.
  • Cross-Functional Partnerships: Builds strong partnerships with engineering, quality, supply chain, industrial engineering, and operations teams to proactively solve issues and drive first-time quality. Acts as a key escalation point to quickly resolve machining nonconformances and constraints.
  • Technical Oversight & Accountability: Provides oversight and approval of assembly technical approaches, processes, and work instructions to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements. Champions adherence to standard work and process discipline on the shop floor.
