About The Position

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Senior Manufacturing Managers (Level L) to support the 777-team based out of Everett, WA. This position for Shift 1 and 2, will be determined after the interview. As a member of the Leadership team, you will continuously lead and develop Manufacturing Teams. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to embrace and elevate a One BPS culture, driving a deep understanding of the One BPS principles, standards, production health and problem-solving model. Quality and Safety initiatives will require the candidate to be fully engaged in a FOD free and clean as you go approach and an IIF commitment to Safety. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in an Aerospace, Fabrication or Manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience in a formal or informal leadership position
  • 1+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.

Nice To Haves

  • 3+ years of experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS)
  • 3+ years of experience effectively communicating with employees, peers and senior leadership
  • 1+ years of experience in using Lean principles

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines
  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives
  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
