About The Position

This position works out of our St. Paul, MN location in the Abbott Vascular Devices division. Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for the treatment of vascular disease. The Senior Manufacturing Engineering Technician will provide day-to-day maintenance and technical support for Abbott Vascular New Brighton Operations, assuring functionality and regulatory compliance of production equipment. This role requires performing assigned duties and tasks with limited supervision.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED or Technical Diploma (± 12 years) Completion/certification or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 2 years Maintenance, operations or technical support role is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventive Maintenance activities for all production equipment throughout the New Brighton site, documenting detailed maintenance work orders in specified systems.
• Provide technical and maintenance assistance and complete assignments in selected areas to optimize equipment performance.
• Perform troubleshooting, equipment failure diagnosis, parts selection, reassembly of equipment and equipment start up oversite.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for site.
• Oversee maintenance and repair work by equipment supplier technicians within the New Brighton site.
• Perform tasks per all applicable regulatory requirements including safety and quality requirements.
• Make decisions to prevent serious quality, safety and environmental problems, as the Technician works with limited supervision.
