The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will plan, design, and optimize manufacturing processes, with the potential to supervise both the production workflows and personnel. This role involves independently analyzing production processes and equipment for improvement opportunities, developing project proposals, and executing them to completion. The engineer will also develop and implement process control techniques, analyze manufacturing process flows for enhancements in quality, cost reduction, and throughput, and estimate staffing requirements and production times. Collaboration with Production Supervisors for employee training, support of company policies, FDA regulations, and good manufacturing practices are key aspects. The position is responsible for planning and executing production improvement projects from concept to implementation, analyzing new products for manufacturability, maintaining assembly documentation and production routings, and planning/executing testing for assembly processes and tooling. Compliance with performance, regulatory, and safety standards, documenting performed tasks, presenting manufacturing-related designs, troubleshooting production floor issues, and training operators are also essential functions.
