This role is responsible for the advancement of manufacturing technology, product introduction, and project management of manufacturing projects at a plant or corporate level. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will serve as the manufacturing representative for large truck-level product development projects, working with project teams early in the Product Development Process (PDP) to develop manufacturing processes using Design for Manufacturing and Assembly principles. They will collaborate with global manufacturing plants to produce DV level components while designing the manufacturing process, and act as the project manager for the manufacturing portion of product development projects through project close. The position also involves working with Current Product teams to share and engage in Product Development Projects, and with the Process Technology group to share new and emerging technologies. Additionally, the role includes developing and mentoring others in Manufacturing, providing technical direction and leadership, developing capital and expense budgets for large product development projects, and presenting project updates to executives at PDP Milestone meetings.

Requirements

Associate degree
Non-degree considered if 8+ years of related experience along with a high school diploma or GED
Must have valid driving privileges.
Some overnight stays (10%)
Some international travel is required.

Responsibilities
