About The Position

As an Sr. Manufacturing Engineer at MKS, you will partner with NPI Team, and Engineering to develop and implement manufacturing processes of electromechanical parts, sub-assemblies and final assemblies for new product development. In this role, you will report to Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • BS (EE/ME/IE) with 5+ years of hands on experience in mechanical or electromechanical systems.
  • Written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in problem solving techniques relating to manufacturing process.
  • Experience introducing new products from a prototype to a production environment.
  • Collaboration skills with a passion for manufacturing and operations.
  • Ability to train and mentor production personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Transition products from Design to LCC Manufacturing centers.
  • Represent the Technical Operations team in product development projects, communicating requirements and proposing solutions.
  • Partner with design engineering and facilitates supplier value engineering in product development with strong influence in DFX (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Service).
  • Define and establish manufacturing methods, processes, and tools to streamline new and existing products.
  • Review designs of PCBA’s, cables, metal, and magnetics for production manufacturability.
  • Design and procure assembly tools and fixtures.
  • Create, update and maintain manufacturing process instructions.
  • Structure product BOM’s and establishes routings with associated labor standards.
  • Responsible for coordination of product transfers to manufacturing.
  • Support daily production demand.
