About The Position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer located in Berkeley, MO to support our world renown F-15 program. At Boeing St. Louis, we are leaders in aerospace innovation, committed to shaping the future of flight. Our facility serves as a hub for advanced manufacturing, where we design and produce cutting-edge military products that are vital to national defense. We take pride in our dedication to quality, safety, and sustainability. We are looking for Experienced Manufacturing Engineers, with expertise in airplane structures, production readiness and composite fabrication. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient production of our world-class aerospace products, including advanced platforms for our Fighter Jet programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study, in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications.
  • Level 4: 9 + years work-related experience with a bachelor’s degree OR 7+ years of work-related experience with a master’s degree OR work-related experience with a PhD

Nice To Haves

  • B.S. or higher in Aerospace, Civil or Mechanical Engineering
  • Composite Fabrication experience
  • Experience supporting defense and/or aerospace customers
  • Experience with 3D model-based instruction
  • Experience with any of the following: Siemens NX, IVT, CREO, CATIA, MES, Gold, PrimeR, Aurora, VisVSA, DELMIA, VisMockup, ProModel, FlexSim, 3D Printed Parts, Maker Space, ImDev, ICIDO, Multi- Monitor Collaborative Rooms, rapid prototyping or manufacturing experience.
  • FSDA experience
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System Common Image (MESci)
  • Experience reviewing and approving other engineers’ work (installation plans, tool orders, line stock checks, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement manufacturing processes for air vehicle structures.
  • Ensure production readiness by identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing workflows, and enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Support operations by streamlining processes, improving quality, and ensuring timely delivery of products to our customers.
  • Utilize data analysis and engineering principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide input on manufacturability and assembly considerations.
