About The Position

As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer at MKS, you will partner with the NPI Team and Engineering to develop and implement manufacturing processes for electromechanical parts, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies for new product development. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager. You will transition products from Design to LCC Manufacturing centers. You will represent the Technical Operations team in product development projects, communicating requirements and proposing solutions. You will partner with design engineering and facilitate supplier value engineering in product development with strong influence in DFX (Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, and Service). You will define and establish manufacturing methods, processes, and tools to streamline new and existing products. You will review designs of PCBA’s, cables, metal, and magnetics for production manufacturability. You will design and procure assembly tools and fixtures. You will create, update, and maintain manufacturing process instructions. You will structure product BOM’s and establish routings with associated labor standards. You will be responsible for the coordination of product transfers to manufacturing and support daily production demand.

Requirements

  • BS (EE/ME/IE) with 5+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical or electromechanical systems.
  • Written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Experience in problem-solving techniques relating to manufacturing processes.
  • Experience introducing new products from a prototype to a production environment.
  • Collaboration skills with a passion for manufacturing and operations.
  • Ability to train and mentor production personnel.
