About The Position

Anduril’s Manufacturing team is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join the Electronic Warfare (EW) Manufacturing Team, which rapidly iterates and builds defense hardware for Electromagnetic Warfare. The role spans the manufacturing value chain, including design for manufacturability, tool design and selection, process creation and optimization, vendor sourcing and interaction, quality planning, and work documentation for owned hardware. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer drives process improvements, ensures high production quality, and supports development and implementation of new products. The role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, reducing costs, and increasing efficiency for existing technologies, while developing new products and scaling them to full production.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
  • Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
  • Personal, hands-on experience physically manufacturing hardware through methods such as machining, fabrication, soldering, or assembly.
  • Experience with JIRA, Siemens NX, Teamcenter (PLM), Oracle (ERP), or equivalent tools.
  • Genuine interest in manufacturing and a thirst for learning.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.

Nice To Haves

  • A technical degree, such as in engineering, mathematics, or a hard science.
  • Work on personal or extracurricular projects.
  • Experience with RF products requiring system Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T).
  • Exposure to or interest in scaling product testing and production.
  • Hands-on experience with software and firmware flashing or end-of-line testing and troubleshooting.
  • Software scripting experience in any language.
  • Current active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Own part or all of the manufacturing value chain, including Assembly, Integration & Test (AI&T) for electromechanical assemblies.
  • Contribute to operational excellence through continuous improvement and lead impactful Kaizen events.
  • Partner with Product Quality Engineering to drive and support root cause and corrective action (RCCA) burndowns addressing key issues within and outside EW Production.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineering teams throughout product development to provide design-for-X (DFx) support and enable smooth new product introduction (NPI) transitions.
  • Develop process flows that break complex assemblies into logical part flows, subassemblies, and subprocesses.
  • Write documentation for manufacturing hardware at scale, including work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements.
  • Work with contract manufacturers across disciplines, including PCBA fabrication, metallic manufacturing, and assembly, to develop repeatable processes for quick-turn development and scaled production.
  • Work hands-on with technicians and other engineers to build prototype hardware.
  • Contribute to mechanical or electrical design of end-customer hardware, including interconnects, board fabrication, and inspection.

Benefits

  • Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full-time offers.
  • Top-tier benefits for full-time employees, described as comprehensive and competitive and available at little to no cost to employees.
