About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This position is based in Santa Ana, CA. The expected annual salary range for this role is $99000 - $145000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering function
  • Minimum 1 year of experience using AutoCAD and Solid Works system

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a high mix / low volume manufacturing or engineer to order manufacturing environment
  • Advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Experience with MRP systems (SAP)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Experience on Sustaining Production.
  • Experience on Troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Experience working on Corrective Actions.
  • Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems.
  • Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology.
  • Ability to think strategically and see big picture in dynamic business environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions
  • Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results

Responsibilities

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and Lean tools throughout the enterprise, including Value Stream Mapping, structured problem solving, root cause analysis, 5s+, work instructions, etc.
  • Evaluate, analyze and improve operations and engineering processes using fundamentally sound manufacturing principles to ensure excellence in safety, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction and quality.
  • Initiate, develop and lead capital improvement projects including manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements and new product start-ups.
  • Foster a continuous improvement culture throughout the business by creating, leading and communicating opportunities for quality, productivity, flow and safety improvement.
  • Support new product development with manufacturing feasibility and industrialization activities including production layout, materials and costing for new products.
