About The Position

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This position is based in Santa Ana, CA. The expected annual salary range for this role is $99000 - $145000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited educational institution
Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering function
Minimum 1 year of experience using AutoCAD and Solid Works system

Nice To Haves

5 or more years of experience in manufacturing engineering in a high mix / low volume manufacturing or engineer to order manufacturing environment
Advanced degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
Experience with MRP systems (SAP)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
Experience with Microsoft Project
Experience on Sustaining Production.
Experience on Troubleshooting technical issues.
Experience working on Corrective Actions.
Knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes including assembly and pull systems.
Technical understanding and experience with Lean Manufacturing Systems and Six Sigma methodology.
Ability to think strategically and see big picture in dynamic business environment
Ability to work independently and in a team environment; to communicate articulately and professionally across many organizational levels and functions
Highly motivated, works with a sense of urgency, driven to add value and deliver results

Responsibilities

Implement Lean Manufacturing concepts and Lean tools throughout the enterprise, including Value Stream Mapping, structured problem solving, root cause analysis, 5s+, work instructions, etc.
Evaluate, analyze and improve operations and engineering processes using fundamentally sound manufacturing principles to ensure excellence in safety, efficiency, productivity, cost reduction and quality.
Initiate, develop and lead capital improvement projects including manufacturing equipment, facility enhancements and new product start-ups.
Foster a continuous improvement culture throughout the business by creating, leading and communicating opportunities for quality, productivity, flow and safety improvement.
Support new product development with manufacturing feasibility and industrialization activities including production layout, materials and costing for new products.
