About The Position

As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be part of our Operations team working as an onsite employee. You’ll get to develop and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment, review and improve existing manufacturing processes and equipment, and ensure that equipment, processes, and tooling operate at satisfactory levels. You will perform process capability studies, identify and implement safety and productivity improvements, and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives that support continuous process improvements. Additionally, you will document work standards and instructions, investigate production concerns, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. You will identify new equipment, processes, and tooling, and oversee procurement, plant layout, installations, and validations. This role involves initiating capital budget requests, planning, justifying, and implementing manufacturing proposals, and participating in the development and implementation of preventative maintenance programs. You will ensure compliance with all EH&S policies as defined by Stanley Black & Decker, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies. You will work cohesively within our team environment, participating in various projects and events to support the Plant’s needs, and engage with personnel from other departments and disciplines to successfully drive and complete tasks.

Requirements

  • 5+ years relevant engineering experience
  • Related experience with process equipment, steel machining and welding
  • Skilled in hands on equipment troubleshooting and process improvements
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office software and CAD

Responsibilities
