About The Position

We're looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to own the manufacturing and assembly of our electrical subsystems and wire harnessing. This is a hands-on role for an engineer who is equally comfortable defining production processes and standing at the bench wiring a panel. You'll set the quality bar for all electrical and I&C (instrumentation & controls) scope, scale our builds from prototype to production, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with technicians to keep hardware moving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in electrical manufacturing, harness fabrication, or I&C assembly
  • Experience in a highly regulated or safety-critical manufacturing environment (e.g., nuclear, aerospace, defense, medical device, or industrial controls)
  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, data loggers, Hipot testers, and LCR meters
  • Demonstrated track record of reducing build time and improving quality through process improvements
  • Experience testing electrical components and systems — building systems and analyzing results
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial instrumentation: thermocouples, RTDs, pressure transducers, flow meters, and level sensors
  • Proficiency with harness/electrical CAD software (e.g., EPlan, Zuken E3, Siemens Capital, SOLIDWORKS Electrical)
  • Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 (wire harness and cable assembly) workmanship standards

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience spanning PCBA design through manufacture — from board bring-up and design-for-manufacturability review to assembly, test, and yield improvement
  • Experience with harness automation, including build and install
  • Experience with decentralized electronic hardware (e.g., I/O modules, power supplies, sensors, and controllers)
  • Experience transitioning hardware from prototype to volume production
  • Lean/Six Sigma or other process-improvement methodology experience

Responsibilities

  • Define and enforce production processes, build procedures, equipment and quality standards for all electrical and I&C scope
  • Lead electrical builds hands-on — wire panels, assemble racks, terminate instrumentation loops, and work alongside technicians on the shop floor
  • Drive schedule and throughput on electrical hardware — identify risks early, solve problems quickly, and keep builds moving
  • Establish and continuously improve manufacturing and assembly processes to scale from prototype to production
  • Author clear, repeatable build instructions for complex industrial wire harnesses
  • Troubleshoot and resolve quality issues with harnesses throughout fabrication and assembly
  • Establish equipment, tooling, and fixtures for building electrical panels and systems
  • Partner with design engineering and supply chain to specify, source, and qualify electrical components, instrumentation, and build consumables
  • Question requirements and drive design-for-manufacturability feedback to engineering

Benefits

  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Paid Time Off
  • Corporate Gym Membership
