We are seeking an experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineer to help lead, support, and improve production processes within our precision sheet-metal fabrication facilities. This role is responsible for evaluating and translating quotes, prints, instructions, and technical information into routings, manufacturing data, and shop-ready documentation, while optimizing laser cutting operations, programming, tooling, and overall manufacturability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. Requirements

  • Experience in precision sheet metal fabrication environments
  • Hands-on knowledge of press brake forming, laser cutting, CNC machining, welding, paint, and assembly processes
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA
  • Lean / Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher preferred)
  • Experience in high-mix, low-to-mid volume, tight-tolerance manufacturing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
  • 5–10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in aerospace, medical, or other regulated industries
  • Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes and best practices
  • Proficiency in GD&T, blueprint reading, and tolerance stack-ups
  • Experience with process validation methodologies
  • Demonstrated success improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics
  • Hands-on, shop floor–oriented approach

Responsibilities

  • Lead and optimize manufacturing processes across laser cutting, forming (press brake), machining, welding, paint, and assembly
  • Drive Lean initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance shop floor efficiency
  • Support new product introduction (NPI), including tooling, fixturing, and process development from concept through production
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ITAR, and customer requirements
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (routers, work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans)
  • Partner with Quality to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions (CAPA)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in real time, driving issues through to resolution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain
  • Identify and implement opportunities for automation, standardization, and scalability
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits
