About The Position

Pall Corporation, a Danaher operating company and a global leader in high-tech filtration, separation, and purification, is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This role is crucial for driving improvements within assigned value streams, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and productivity. The engineer will be a key member of the Value Stream leadership team, responsible for achieving daily results and developing data-supported action plans using Lean (DBS) tools and practices. This position offers opportunities for professional growth in time management, Lean/DBS implementation, project management, technical skills, and leadership. The role is based onsite in New Port Richey, FL, and requires access to export-controlled commodities, necessitating U.S. citizenship or equivalent status.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, and/or Aerospace Engineering or other related engineering field, required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related role.
  • Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, and tolerance analysis.
  • Strong quality process background and understands FMEA’s (Failure Modes Effects Analysis), DOE’s (Design of Experiments), and Failure Analysis.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with complex manufacturing processes.
  • Stamina to stand or walk for 8–10 hour shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to 30–50 pounds.
  • Fine motor skills for operating delicate measurement tools and assembling parts.
  • U.S. citizenship, U.S. legal permanent resident status, protected person status, or U.S. Government export authorization is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in high volume manufacturing is a plus.
  • Problem Solving/Analysis skills and experience.
  • Experience with designing cutting tools and holding fixtures for CNC and manual mill and lathe operations using CAD.
  • CNC and/or Manual Grinding Experience.
  • Experience creating CNC programs for multi-axis CNC mills and lathes.
  • Knowledge of GDT, Aerospace Mil-Specifications and ability to properly interpret complex detailed machine drawings with section views.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical expertise to support and facilitate daily manufacturing operations of manufacturing equipment, including addressing documentation, process, and material flow gaps/opportunities.
  • Leads the implementation of Lean/DBS tools via formal/informal Kaizens to achieve and sustain levels of targeted performance.
  • Conducts root cause analysis and develops timely solutions for issues arising on current product and in the production process.
  • Interacts daily with customers on quality issues and quality assurance issues.
  • Research and implement where appropriate, advanced technology solutions which help the value stream achieve breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery / Lead Time reduction, Inventory, and/or Productivity.
  • Work with engineering, supervisors, purchasing, and continuous improvement team to prioritize projects.
  • Oversees the development of new processes, methods, and production controls.
  • Prepares operations manuals for new or existing equipment.
