Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering Technology.
  • 5–7 years of manufacturing engineering experience preferred; internships and co-op experience considered.
  • Experience in structural steel, roll forming, metal fabrication, or heavy manufacturing preferred.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and drive waste elimination.
  • Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), labor productivity, and manufacturing flow.
  • Reduce setup times using SMED and standardized work.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Tool & Die, and Design Engineering to resolve manufacturing issues.

Responsibilities

  • Improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance across structural steel roll forming, punching, welding, and assembly operations.
  • Serving as the manufacturing process owner by developing standardized processes.
  • Leading Lean initiatives.
  • Supporting new product introductions.
  • Partnering with Operations to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Developing manufacturing routings, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Supporting Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and new product introductions.
  • Optimizing structural steel roll forming processes and improving equipment utilization.
  • Partnering with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Tool & Die, and Design Engineering to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Supporting capital equipment implementation and process validation.
