About The Position

Eaton's Power Components Division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer - Automation. This is an on-site position based at our Beaver, PA facility. Relocation assistance is available! The expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer – Automation will lead strategic engineering initiatives focused on improving manufacturing processes, systems, and equipment. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in process optimization, automation, and project execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline or related from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 2 years of engineering experience in automated assembly and/or machining production environment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience in an assembly or machining/manufacturing production environment, including Automation & Robotics
  • Experience in PLC logic and programming with PLCs
  • Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies
  • Lean/Six sigma experience
  • Project management experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop expertise in Industry 4.0 tools and technologies and serve as a subject matter expert (SME).
  • Manage budget, timelines, and objectives for Industry 4.0 projects including automation, digital core, IIoT, additive manufacturing, and systems integration.
  • Align automation project objectives with plant continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist manufacturing teams in developing, submitting, and obtaining approval for business cases related to Industry 4.0 opportunities.
  • Train key plant personnel on Industry 4.0 tools and technologies to ensure adoption and sustainment.
  • Guide and support plant teams on machine connectivity and data acquisition activities.
  • Support integration of manufacturing technologies and digital systems.
  • Collaborate with plant leadership, IT, Operational Excellence, Production, Quality, Facilities, and Engineering teams to execute projects.
  • Work closely with SMEs from Advanced Manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and Process Optimization teams.
