About The Position

Exponent is seeking a Senior Managing Regulatory Scientist for its Chemical Regulation and Food Safety Practice, to be based in Sacramento, CA (other locations may be considered). This role involves providing a high level of project management and Federal and State regulatory and technical expertise. The position will focus on leading projects, identifying new clients, nurturing existing client relationships, and developing new business within the regulatory sector. The responsibilities include developing Federal and State pesticide registration strategies, identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships and projects, providing regulatory and technical review, synthesizing information for clients and regulators, conducting scientific peer reviews, and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in a science-related field
  • Ten (10) or more years of EPA FIFRA/FFDCA pesticide regulatory experience
  • Knowledge, solid understanding, and practical experience with U.S. EPA FIFRA/FFDCA regulations and State regulations for pesticides and chemicals
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to independently prepare, edit, and proofread technical and regulatory documents
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and manage time effectively
  • Strong ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
  • Presently legally authorized to work in the United States. No immigration sponsorship or processing required.

Responsibilities

  • Providing Federal and State pesticide registration strategy and regulatory support
