About The Position

American Express Travel Related Services Company, Inc. seeks Senior Managers, Data Engineering, under the supervision of a Director, Software Engineering, to identify and resolve inefficiencies in the development process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM Field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with building development plans, and execution of quality assurance and testing for engineering teams.
• 2 years of experience with software project management.
• 2 years of experience with Agile rapid application development environment.
• 2 years of experience applying software development methodologies, continuous integration and development, integrated test environments, and tool chain automation to perform end-to-end automated test execution through self-service across Mainframe and distributed applications.
• 2 years of experience writing test cases and resolving defects.
• 2 years of experience designing and running functional, automated, system, and performance tests.
• 2 years of experience with API testing, COBOL, Control-M, DB2, JCL, Mainframe CI/CD, MQ, Test Data Management (TDM), SQL, Test Automation, and VSAM.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements specifications for defects, performance, reliability, scalability, testability, usability, and security.
• Define requirements for new features and build product roadmaps.
• Monitor and track resolution of defects, coordinating with engineers in order to prevent, report, and resolve the issues.
• Recommend changes to APIs and system designs in collaboration with architects, tech leads, and developers.
• Plan process and technology improvement projects and collaborate on execution.
