The Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Strategy & Analysis team is a key part of the NBA’s DTC Monetization group. The Monetization group focuses on growing the NBA’s digital DTC business globally (including League Pass subscriptions, advertising, NBA ID membership, and overall digital platform), through data-driven insights and decision making. They work dynamically within a matrix organization to align efforts across Partnerships, Marketing, Finance, Content, Product, and Membership, among others. The DTC Strategy & Analysis team plays a key part in growing the global direct-to-consumer business at the NBA. They own business performance analysis, lead both short-term and long-term forecasting efforts, drive on ad hoc special projects and advise senior leadership on key strategic decisions. This includes preparing complex financial models, presentation materials, industry peer group comparisons, evaluation of new business opportunities, and other analyses as needed. In collaboration with the broader Monetization group and senior leadership, this function helps set the overall strategy for the DTC business, using data-driven insights to fuel growth. The ideal candidate has a firm understanding of all the key metrics for a DTC business and has a strong intuition for how they impact performance and decision making.
